Boko Haram allegedly beheads 43 farmers in Borno, residents refuse to bury corpses

The Boko Haram Terrorist group on Saturday beheaded 43 farmers in Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, HumAngle reports.

Zambarmari is located in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State, Within Nigeria understands.

It was also gathered that the bodies of the slain farmers whose throats were also slit is still been kept by residents of the area who are insisting they won’t be buried until the state governor, Professor Babagana Zulum sees their bodies.

When contacted, Director, Army Public Relations, Sagir Musa, directed newsmen to the Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, John Enenche.

Meanwhile, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has condemned the latest gruesome attack by the Boko Haram group.

The former lawmaker who reacted via a statement on his Twitter account lamented that Nigeria has continued to bleed in the hands of the evil ones.

He wrote:

“The reported massacre of over 40 farmers by insurgents in Borno state earlier today is condemnable. This is recurring news for some, but a horrible tragedy for the children, wives and loved ones they left behind. Every dawn of a new day, our nation bleeds in the hands of evil.”
