The Osun state field commandant of the regional security network, Amotekun, Amitolu Shittu has denied statement credited to him that the security outfit, Amotekun would not tolerate indecent dressing and bastardizing of Yoruba language by the youth in the society.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the Osun State commandant of the regional security network, Amotekun, Shittu disclosed that the outfit would not tolerate indecent dressing and bastardising of Yoruba language by the youth when it begins full operation in March 2021.
The denial was made by the commandant via a statement he released in Osogbo, the capital of the state.
Amitolu described the statement credited to him on the claim as falsehood and charged members of the public to disregard it.
Frowning at the statement credited to him, the field commandant of the security outfit in the state described it as image tarnishing.
Speaking further on the matter, Amitolu maintained that the statement credited to him was not done in good faith and warned against bringing disrepute into his life.
He, however, appealed to well-meaning Nigerians not to take the claim serious as it is a ruse that far from the truth.
