Court orders release of atheist Mubarak Bala who was imprisoned for blasphemy in Kano

Mubarak Bala, an atheist who was imprisoned for blasphemy in Kano has been reportedly released by a federal high court sitting in Abuja.

This information was shared on social media platform, Facebook by his counsel, Firsts Baba Isa.

According to the lawyer, the inspector general of police and Nigeria police force were ordered by the court to release the atheist, Mubarak Bala who has been in detention for over 8 months for blasphemyblasphemy.

The lawyer, Bala wrote on his timeline:

‘I have just obtained judgement from the Federal High Court, Abuja, ordering the Inspector General of Police and Nigeria Police Force to release Mubarak Bala, who has been in detention for over 8 months for blasphemy.
