Body of kidnapped Benue LG cashier found in shallow grave

The dead body of a cashier identified Joseph Myaan who was abducted in Katsina-Ala local government council of Benue state has been found in a shallow grave.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the dead body was found on Wednesday January, 6 in Akpera area of Tongov community in Katsina -Ala.

Recall that the deceased, Joseph who worked in the Revenue Department of the Katsina-Ala LG, was kidnapped over a month ago.

According to report, the family of the deceased paid undisclosed sum as ransom to the kidnappers to secure his release but they still killed him.

The remains of Myaan had been deposited in the Katsina-Ala  General Hospital morgue.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that police in Benue state have arrested eighty-three cultists and criminals after some black spots were cracked down during the festive period.

This was disclosed by the state commissioner of police, Mr Mohammed Mukadass during the parading of suspects on Wednesday, January 6.

The police boss said the suspects were arrested with 10 firearms and seven live ammunition.
