Kano state government has disclosed that schools in the state are to reopen on Monday, January 18, 2021, amid the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aliyu Yusuf, the Chief Public Relations Officer, Kano State Ministry of Education, made this known in a statement on Sunday released on behalf of the state Commissioner of Education, Muhammad Sanusi-Kiru.

According to the statement, parents and guardians should disregard rumors of extension of resumption dates, adding that the state government has no intentions of doing that.

Sanusi-Kiru maintained that all boarding students were to resume on January 17 while Day students are to resume today, January 18.
