Armed bandits have reportedly attacked a vehicle and injured two people at the Kurmin Idon axis of the Kaduna-Kachia road in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
This tragic incident was confirmed on Wednesday, February 17 by the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
The commissioner said the driver of the van ran into a barricade set up by the bandits, who opened fire on the moving vehicle.
“Both occupants were then hit by bullets on their arms. The injured victims identified as Samson Maikano and Monday Wisdom, were assisted by security agencies and community leaders who got them to a hospital for comprehensive medical attention”.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai while receiving the report thanked the community leaders and security agencies for coming to the aid of the injured victims, and prayed for their quick and full recovery.
