Pandemonium in Akure, the capital of Ondo State as supporters of the ruling party, APC and main opposition party, PDP reportedly clashed leading to heavy shooting on Sunday morning along Oba Adeshida road.
Reports reaching WITHIN NIGERIA have it that there was heavy shooting on Sunday morning along Oba Adeshida road in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that there was a serious bloodly clash between supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is coming barely 7 days to the state gubernatorial election.
According to report, the Sunday morning clash was a reprisal attack over the killing of an APC member in Oba Nla area of Akure on Saturday night.
As at the time of filing this report, several persons have been injured and many vehicles destroyed in the clash.
The clash between the two parties reportedly escalated to Erakhale area and motorists have stopped plying the Oba Adeshida road in Akure, the capital of Ondo state.
