Igwe Oranu Chidume of Omor Kingdom in Anambra’s Ayamelum Local Government Area congratulated Gov. Willie Obiano on the start of flight operations at Anambra International cargo/passenger airport on Tuesday.

The traditional ruler told reporters in Ayamelum, Anambra, that the airport would help the state’s and the Southeast region’s economic development.

It should be noted that Air Peace confirmed on Tuesday that it would begin scheduled flights into Anambra following the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s approval of the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport (NCAA).

The traditional ruler stated that the new airport has filled the people of Anambra with excitement and joy.

He referred to Obiano as a serial achiever because of the significant landmark projects he oversaw in the state.

“There is a sense of excitement and joy in the air above the airport.” People can now fly to Lagos and Abuja from the state, which will boost the state’s economic viability.

“To top it all off, Gov. Obiano bequeathed to the people of Anambra a resourceful person in Prof. Charles Soludo as the next executive governor and his successor.”

“This is the greatest gift he has ever given the people,” said the traditional ruler.

He characterized Soludo as a prudent, intelligent, resourceful, and international figure who would lead the Anambra economy to el Dorado.

He advised the governor-elect to form a government of professionals who are ready to implement policies that will transform the state’s economic viability into an abundance of wealth.

The traditional ruler also pledged his unwavering support for the state’s government.
