Consult partners media to change face of sports in Bauchi 

The Bakos International Consult Bauchi, says it will   patner with media organizations in the state to change the face of sports.

It will do this by  hunting for talents through competitions in the state.

Mr Haruna Bako, Chairman of the Consult and the Bauchi Governor’s Cup Football Competition, stated this at a news conference on the championship “tagged Kaura 22” in Bauchi.

He said the partnership would boost the championship and  showcase talents from the grass roots to the state level.

“The championship would strengthen sports by bringing stakeholders together to share ideas for the development of sports in the state,” he said.

ako reiterated the commitment, passion  and the integrity of the organizers to move  sports to a level where Bauchi sports circle would perform incredibly at the national and international levels.

According to him, preparation has reached a higher stage for the  Governor’s Football Competition, hence registration had since commenced from June I to 21 in 20 local government areas across  the state.

All interested clubs of each LGAs are encouraged to participate and only non league players will be allowed  to participate.

“This will enable the grass roots talented players to showcase themselves and have opportunities to get within and outside the state.

We will invite sports academies  across the country to come and witness the competition and select the best hands for greener pastures in sports,” he said

Mr Bako explained that the competition was designed in three categories of inter local governments, zonal stage where winners from LGAs would compete and the state, where two champions from the three zones would also compete at the level.

He said prizes and awards would be given at the end of the competition, adding that the LGAs would have three motorcycles and three other vehicles at stake.

Bako added that the competition would be organized according to international standard.

The Chairman lauded the Secretary to the stayte Government (SSG) Mr Ibrahim Kashim for donating the trophiy and his commitment to the championship.
