A little girl, Peculiar, lost her life while trying to rescue her younger sister from the river in Delta.
The two sisters identified as Peculiar, 11, and Blessing, 9, were found dead on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Agbarho river bank in Delta State.
According to a source, “They wanted to have a bathe at the river. Blessing entered the river and drowned and her sister, Peculiar, ran to call for help but the only person around in their compound, thought she was blabbing and paid her no mind.
“So she went back to rescue Blessing and drowned. They have since been buried leaving their mum heartbroken.”
