A young girl, Comfort Otega Benjamin was declared missing on May 22 after she reportedly home and didn’t return in Jos, Plateau state capital.
On May 23, photos of the celebrant were shared online, with loved ones asking for help in finding Comfort, who was supposed to be celebrating her 16th birthday.
Sadly, on the evening of May 23, her body was found at Nasarawa Gwong in Jos North. She had been raped and murdered.
The deceased has now been laid to rest.
Nigerians have taken to social media to ask for justice for Comfort, demanding that the culprits be fished out and made to face the consequences of their actions.
