The ‘soldier who was caught on camera assaulting a resident of Ughelli in Delta State has begged for forgiveness.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that a man who claimed to be a soldier was over the weekend filmed brutalising an innocent youth in a SARS-like manner.
According to Harrison Gwamnishu, who shared the video of the assault has again taken to his Instagram page to give an update on the matter. The Delta-based activist who runs an NGO ‘Behind Bars’, has claimed that the soldier identified as Jones aka Hitler has reached out to his team begging for forgiveness so as to avoid escalating the incident.
The activist wrote,
He has been calling me and also called everyone close to me begging for forgiveness.

Today we received the victim in Asaba and assured him of his safety and our support.
We have done the needful by informing the authorities on the illegal activities of Officers Jones in UGHELLI and Environs.
