In a shocking revelation, a 43 year old Catholic priest was found dead in a local hotel after allegedly spending the night with his girlfriend.

The priest, identified as Joseph Kariuki Wanjiku, was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances at the Monalisa Hotel Delview in Gatanga, where he was staying with his supposed lover.

On Friday evening, the priest arrived at the hotel with a woman identified as his lover.

when he became ill, the priest, was accompanied by his girlfriend to Kenol hospital, but was later found dead in his automobile.

When Joseph Kariuki Wanjiku was brought to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.

Police officials who responded to the incident have subsequently taken custody of the priest’s remains and started an investigation into how he died. Authorities are questioning the woman, who is said to be the priest’s girlfriend, in order to learn more about the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to the police report, the couple booked into the hotel on Friday night, but the priest only started feeling ill the next morning.

Authorities have confiscated the food and beverages that the priest and his girlfriend ingested while staying at the hotel for additional examination as part of their continuing inquiry. This investigation’s goal is to determine whether any chemicals might have played a role in the priest’s tragic demise.

Kenyans have expressed their sorrow over the priest’s mysterious death on social media channels.

Many people have sent their condolences to the priest’s family and the Catholic Church, underlining his beneficial influence on the neighborhood.

The Clergyman brandished the gun while on the pulpit and told his congregation that he bought the weapon in 1994, which means he has owned it for 28 years.

His decision to wield a gun while preaching comes a week after a Catholic Church in Owo, Ogun state was attacked by unknown gunmen.

According to him, the gun has been fully registered and he is licensed to carry it for protection. He said that it has been renewed twice and he intends to do another renewal in light of the worsening security challenges
