A 25-year-old lady who moved from Europe has begun a new life as a vulcanizer in Edo State, Nigeria.
The lady identified as Becky Osarume Osagie revealed that she traveled to Italy from Libya in 2015 and returned to Nigeria in 2017.
The lady told BBC News Pidgin that she spent N400,000 on her journey to Libya with the help of an agency.
As a result, she was forced to accept that when she arrived in Italy, she would work to repay the agency £35,000 (N17 million).
Becky shared her experience of traveling through Libya and spending two weeks in jail with the intention of finding better living conditions in Italy.
However, Becky decided to return to Nigeria because the only job opportunities available there were prostitution.
She eventually made a fresh start by moving back to Nigeria in 2017 and discovered vulcanizing after seeing a well-known Nollywood actress play the part in a film.
Becky claims that her decision to go back to Nigeria was not at all regrettable.
