  • In a recent video, the Nigerian graduate who gained viral attention for incinerating his academic certificates, spanning from primary school to university, has candidly expressed the challenges he faces in the job market.
  • With fiery determination, he not only conveyed his frustrations but also confronted those who had criticized his bold act of burning his hard-earned credentials.

Ilenre Olutimain Alvin, a bold Nigerian youth, caught on camera setting his certificates ablaze, has finally revealed the motivation behind his unconventional act.

In a viral Facebook video, Alvin unleashed a verbal barrage on critics tossing insults his way for burning his certificates and took a swipe at the government.

Alvin addressed the exodus of youths seeking greener pastures abroad, asserting that it wouldn’t be the norm if the nation were in shipshape condition.

Venturing further, he spotlighted the afflictions plaguing the Nigerian job arena, where employers demand an eternity of experience from fledgling graduates and some attempt inappropriate advances on female job candidates.

He urged Nigerians to take action instead of doing nothing.

The angry Nigerian man caused a stir online few days back after setting fire to all his school certificates, from primary school to university.

In trending video, the frustrated young man said his school certificates have been useless to him since he graduated.

The man, Olutimain Alvin Lanre, graduated from Ajayi Crowther University and did his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2013.

Lanre lamented that all the jobs he had been able to do since his graduation were those meant for illiterates, rendering his certificates useless.

According to Lanre, it was better for young people to acquire skills instead of going to school to study for a long time for certificates they would end up not using.

He brought out all the certificates and lit them on fire while lamenting how he hadn’t used them to secure anything useful for himself.
