  • The internet exploded in outrage after disturbing videos surfaced, depicting Bwala being subjected to relentless harassment at the hands of Maryam and her cohorts.
  • Fueled by righteous indignation, social media denizens lashed out, demanding swift and severe consequences for the perpetrators.

Maryam Hassan, a student at Lead British International School in Abuja, has come forward with a sincere apology for her regrettable conduct towards her classmate, Namitra Bwala.

Nigerians took to social media platforms to express their indignation and call for decisive action from the school authorities, demanding nothing short of Maryam’s expulsion.

In a recent video statement, Maryam expressed genuine contrition for her actions, extending her heartfelt apologies to the Nigerian community for the distress caused to Namtira.

She fervently expressed her wish that the unfortunate incident had never occurred, acknowledging the profound impact it had on both Namtira and the broader society.

The video drew the attention of the Federal Government as the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, visited the school.

During her visit, the school administrator announced that the private school would be shut down for three days.

Earlier, another video of parents and relatives of Namitra on the school premises emerged on social media as the video of the young girl being bullied by Maryam continued to gain traction with Nigerians passing comments about the bully, her victim and the school
