- For days, Equatorial Guinea has been at the heart of a relentless media storm, all eyes drawn to the scandalous leak of numerous intimate tapes capturing Baltasar with various women.

Cristel Nchama, one of the women ensnared in Baltasar Engonga’s scandalous world of leaked tapes, has formally pressed charges with the National Gendarmerie in Malabo.
Her complaint, as reported by Real Equatorial Guinea, unveils a personal history with Engonga, spanning four years, which has left her devastated and deeply betrayed.
She recounts feeling misled, saying that Engonga preyed upon her trust, convincing her that any recordings had been erased, despite her repeated refusals to be filmed.
Now, with her private life laid bare, Cristel seeks justice, demanding he pay for the humiliation inflicted on her dignity and the damage to her reputation.
“I am humiliated, it is my reputation, my honour, I want to know where these images came from and why he kept the images,” she said.
Baltasar has been in the public eye after officials, who searched his home and office as part of an investigation into alleged fraud, uncovered about 400 explicit videos purportedly featuring him and multiple women.
Among the discoveries were tapes of Engonga seemingly having romps with his brother’s wife, his cousin, the sister of the president of Equatorial Guinea, the wife of the director general of police, and about 20 wives of ministers, among others.
The now-viral videos were filmed in his office, hotels, and toilets allegedly with the consent of the participants.
The depth of his connections and the high-ranking status of his alleged partners have sparked an uproar, with public outrage spilling into calls for accountability.
