Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has stirred nationwide attention following his latest claim that two former Nigerian presidents are currently sick and receiving medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
In a viral video shared via his verified Instagram page, Fayose alleged that ex-Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Abdulsalami Abubakar are both in London undergoing undisclosed medical procedures..
“Two former presidents of Naija [are] in London receiving treatment in the UK. No hospital to take them to in Nigeria in their old age,” Fayose wrote.
Fayose further alleged in his video that President Bola Tinubu had dispatched presidential aides to check on the ailing leaders in London, a move he described as both ironic and troubling given the dilapidated state of Nigerian hospitals.
He also pointed to the growing exodus of healthcare professionals from Nigeria, remarked that the very doctors treating the former leaders in the UK are mostly Nigerian-trained practitioners who left the country due to poor working conditions.
“Funny enough, it’s Nigerian japa doctors and nurses attending to them in the UK. What a country.” He added
His claims, though yet to be independently verified or confirmed by official sources, have triggered a fresh wave of public discourse on the state of Nigeria’s healthcare system and the medical tourism culture among the country’s political elite — a trend that persists despite multiple promises over the years to improve the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.
Many say the reliance on foreign medical care by the political class is a symptom of the failure to invest in local health systems.

In other news, Nigerian comedian, Francis Agoda, widely known as I Go Dye, recently raised serious concerns ahead of the 2027 presidential election, warned Nigerians not to fall for what he described as “recycled political deception”.
Taking to Instagram, I Go Dye cautioned citizens that politicians such as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar may soon resort to pretentious public displays of humility in a bid to gain electoral support. .
