A heavily pregnant woman who lives in Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru Local Government Area in Kaduna State recently passed away due to the shortage of new naira notes in banks.

According to Daily Trust, James Auta, the husband of the deceased, revealed that the hospital refused to attend to his wife when he was unable to make the payment because he couldn’t access cash in his bank or through Point of Sale (POS) spots.

The tragedy occurred earlier this month when Auta’s wife went into labour but was turned away by the hospital because her husband was unable to make the payment due to the shortage of naira notes.

It was gathered that the woman gave up the ghost at her home after delivering the baby due to incessant bleeding.
