The General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has revealed his preferred presidential candidate ahead of the general election.

The clergyman while speaking to his church members about the 2023 election on Sunday morning, declared support for the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

In a video sighted on his official Facebook page, Suleiman said he and his family members are supporting the former governor of Anambra State and are ready to vote against wickedness.

According to him, he is not among those that make noise on social media, notwithstanding he is supporting Peter Obi, in the background.

Suleiman further warned his congregation against being tribal bigots and to vote for good leaders and not sponsors of insecurity.

He added that he has friends across the political parties and many are supporting bad candidates because of what they tend to gain.

In his words: “We are going to use this anger to vote against wickedness, are you following what I’m saying? My wife, myself, and my children are fully obidient, 100% I’m not one of those that make noise on social media.

“We work at the background and support, we are fully obidient, if you like vote something else, look at me, I hardly stay in the country, I only stay, 60 days, I will be going and coming back and looking at you vote nonsense, insecurity, tribalism, bigotry, ethnicity.

“I have friends across the parties, and most of them are supporting because of what they want to get, they know that the candidate they are supporting is bad.

“They know but because of what they want to get when you support a man and you have nothing to gain, it shows that you are honest.”

Nigeria will elect a new president on Feb. 25 to take over from Muhammadu Buhari in a contest pitting the old guard against a third-party candidate seeking to upset the established political order.

There are 18 candidates on the ballot, but only three are considered the top contenders.

Bola Tinubu, a veteran from Buhari’s ruling party (APC), will face off with the main opposition’s Atiku Abubakar (PDP), a former vice president and veteran presidential contender, and Peter Obi from the Labour Party.
