BREAKING: Supreme Court resolves 17 oil wells ownership tussle in favour of Rivers

The Supreme Court in Abuja resolved the ownership dispute over 17 oil wells in favor of Rivers State on Friday.

The Supreme Court dismissed the Imo State Government’s counterclaim ownership in a landmark decision prepared by Justice Heleen Ogunwumiju but delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim.

The oil wells are located in the states of Rivers and Imo.

At the time of this report, detailed judgment was yet to be made available to parties in the dispute.

In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with Ohanaeze Ndígbo and other South-East leaders.

The meeting is holding at the New Exco Chambers, Government House Abakaliki.

Recall that Buhari arrived in Ebonyi State on a two-day working visit on Thursday.
