Police rearrest gatekeeper for killing boss after being granted bail

One John Danjuma has been re-arrested for allegedly killing a former Director of Administration at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH, the police in Rivers State have said.

Danjuma, arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department, CID, was the gatekeeper of Boma Amaomu-Jumbo, the late UPTH director.

It’s gathered that Danjuma was previously arrested, detained, and arraigned by his boss for alleged theft. After spending time in prison, he was released on bail. He allegedly went to Amaomu-Jumbo’s home in GRA, Port Harcourt, and butchered her.

The deceased was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday (today) to give testimony in the case.
