A woman, Mrs. Darasimi Martins, has been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting her 16-year-old maid.
Martins was apprehended by policemen from Olosan Division in Mushin, following a report by the Child Protection Network (CPN).
It was gathered that the incident occurred yesterday at 16, Olomowewe Street, Papa Ajao, Mushin. Sources said it was not the first time the girl would be so assaulted.
The suspect sent her teenage house help to buy six eggs but the girl hid two of the eggs for herself when she returned. This angered Mrs Martins when she found out. She then attacked her and poured hot water on her face and body.

This is not the first time Mrs Martins has assaulted her maid but the degree of injury on the girl’s body angered neighbours and they contacted the Child Protection Network, CPN, to report the case, Newsmen reports.
Confirming the incident, police spokesman Chike Oti, a Chief Superintendent (CSP) said the case had been moved to the Gender Unit for further action.
