The suspect was accused of snatching a motorcycle from a man with the help of two of his gang members along Ikot Okoro road in Abak, Akwa Ibom.
The men allegedly succeeded in snatching the bike and left the scene but the owner raised alarm and youths of the area chased after the robbers.
One of the alleged robbers was caught while others escaped. The one caught was beaten mercilessly till he died then was set ablaze.
