7 Nigerians who made not only the country but the world proud in 2018

Nigerians are talented and skilled people who work hard everyday of their lives to make an impact and make sure their existence has a meaning and effect to the world we all love and live in.

We always makes it a priority to find talented ans skilled Nigerians across the world in other to bring awareness to their achievements.

Many times, these talented and skilled individuals do not have the privilege or the opportunity to tell their stories and let the world see what they can do.

Due to this fact, their stories are shared from time to time on our blog just to appreciate and bring awareness to the good work they do. In light of this, we takes a look at the Nigerians who made an impact on the world this 2018.

1) Kareem Waris

He is an 11-year-old artist who made an impact on Nigerians by painting portraits of celebrated Nigerians. He made an impact on the world after he drew a portrait of President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to Nigeria.

2) Ndubisi Ezerioha

He is a Nigerian automotive scientist who constructed the fastest carbureted front-wheel car on earth. He is the owner of Bisimoto Engineering, a company that has built engines for top vehicle manufacturing companies such as Honda.

3) Amasa Firdaus

This lady was denied the right of being called to bar on December 12, 2017, despite successfully graduating Law School, due to the fact that she had worn an hijab under her wig. She was finally called to bar after seven months of fighting for her right.

4) Elizabeth Bright

She is a 22-year-old UK-based Nigerian student who made history after being elected as a Councillor representing Eastbrook in Dagenham in the United kingdom. Bright emerged winner on May 4, 2018, after a rigorous election process and nights of planning.

5) Toni Iwobi

He is the first Nigerian to be elected as the first black senator in Italy. He has been living in Italy since the 1970s. The 62-year-old man became the first black senator in Italy in 2018.

6) Whitesands students

Four students of Whitesands Schools emerged winners of a category in the Conrad Foundation Spirit of Innovation Challenge. Afolabi Williams, Olubusiyi Famobiwo, Menashi Mordi and Osagumwenro Naaman Ugbo, who were all junior secondary school students, won the Smoke-Free World category of the competition.

7) Patriotism

A young Nigerian man has shown his patroitism by constructing a helicopter for the Nigerian army. The young man who is from Kaduna state delivered the helicopter to Borno state for display.
