Controversy has trailed whether the singer actually sold out the 02 Arena, London on January 27 when he held his Davido Live concert. Just recently, he shared evidence that he indeed sold out the 20,000 capacity event center

Davido has been making several headlines since January 27, when he headlined his wildly talked-about concert which held at 02 Arena in London.

The 20,000 capacity event center has become a symbol for many Nigerian artistes that they are indeed taking over the world. The first to sell out the arena was Wizkid, in May 2018, when he had his Afrorepublik concert that literally shut the city down.

Following rapidly in his footsteps is Davido who decided to thrill his audience with a mind-blowing performance and did so successfully. However, some have claimed that unlike Wizkid, Davido’s event was only attended by 17,000 people and he did not actually sell out the iconic venue.

OBO decided to prove to his fans that he is the master at his game and recently, shared a message where the 02 Arena customer service center confirmed that he indeed sold out the venue and performed for 20,000 fans.

This is clearly in contrast to what Soundcity reported recently where they claimed that singer almost sold out the 02 Arena but just quite did not.

Most fans will agree that whether sold out or not, Davido is still their favourite singer of all time.

Meanwhile, a die-hard fan of Davido is enjoying the benefit of rocking his idol’s jacket. At his grand performance at 02 Arena, Davido gave a fan his hand-beaded jacket made by Okunoren and the lucky guy proudly rocked it and also showed off on social media.
