What Beyonce Said About Having Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burnaboy, Others In New Album (Video)

Nigerian music stars, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Mr Eazi, have made Nigeria proud after joining international music queen, Beyonce, on a music ensemble.

The Lion King album was released for the live-action remake of the classic animated adventure and musical drama, Lion King is set to be released on Friday, July 19. Beyonce, who took on the role to act as the voice of Nala, the main character Simba’s love interest, also released an album for the live-action remake.

The album is titled The Lion King: The Gift. The Gift album contains the official soundtracks for the Lion King remake. It is a 14-track album and many Nigerian stars got the opportunity to be featured on some of the tracks.

People can now look forward to tracks like “Don’t Jealous Me” (a collaboration between Tekno, Yemi Alade & Mr. Eazi), “Brown Skin Girl” (Wizkid with Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé, and Saint Jhn), Tiwa Savage and Mr. Eazi featuring independently on “Keys To The Kingdom”, Burna Boy on “Ja Ara E: track, “Already” (Beyoncé and Shatta Wale), “My Power” (Busiswa, Yemi Alade, Moonchild Sanelly, and Tierra Whack with Beyoncé), “Water” (Salatiel, Pharrell and Beyonce) and many more.

Beyoncé was quoted as saying to ABC, “The soundtrack is a love letter to Africa. I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa. Not just use some of the sounds and do my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic about what is beautiful about the music in Africa.”
