Tragedy struck in Ekiti community as the body of a commercial motorcyclist identified as Sunday Olorunleke was found in a pool of blood in his house on Saturday at Aba Area of Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti state.
The deceased who was alone in his residence when unknown invaders struck and hacked him to death right in his house .
The body of father of two whose wife and children were reportedly away from Ado-Ekiti since Wednesday was met lying helplessly on Saturday morning when they returned home.
A source disclosed that “the incident was suspected to have happened between Thursday and Friday night. The man was sighted in the neighbourhood on Thursday morning.
“The wife of the deceased put a call across to some of the neighbours on Thursday when she could not reach her husband on the phone and they informed her that they saw him that very day.”
Ekiti State Police Spokesman, Caleb Ikechukwu confirmed the killing and told journalists that investigation had begun in a bid to arrest the perpetrators.
