The official website of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) was hacked in the late hours of yesterday October 4, by a suspected French hacker identified as Nasty.
A comment shared by Nasty revealed that the school’s offcial website never had any online security. Some IT experts have already described it as a penetration testing and ransomware attack.
However it seems the school has been able to take back the website with its server and offline backups. UNN ICT officials have also been advised to trace back the footprints to fetch the IP address of the hacker who ran the server attack.
