The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has presented the Certificate of Return to Kogi State Governor-Elect, Yahaya Bello.
INEC’s Returning Officer for the Kogi State election, Prof. Ibrahim Garuba presented the certificate to Bello at a ceremony held at its office in Lokoja, the state capital, on Thursday.
INEC had on Monday declared Bello of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the governorship election in the state.
Garuba had declared Bello winner after polling 406,222 votes to defeat his closest rival, Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 189,704 votes.
