Fear gripped residents of Kubwa Community in the Federal capital territory after a thick smoke was sighted along the Byazhin road.
It was reported that a joint task force had demolished and set ablaze suspected criminal hideouts in the area.
The fire was accompanied by a thick smoke which covered the area and caused panic.
As at press time, the details on the emanation of the fire was sketchy.
The fire was still burning while efforts are being made to put it out as at the time of filling this report.
