Nigerian Instagram comedian cum politician, Freedom Astepoyi also known as Mr. Jollof has ignited the wrath of social media users due to the comment he made regarding the tragic death of former NBA Star, Kobe Bryant.
Within Nigeria had earlier reported that Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and eight others died in his private helicopter which crashed in Calabasas, California, US.
Reacting to the death of the basketball icon on his Instagram page, Mr Jollof said in Pidgin English:
“Basketball wey him dey play no kill am na wetin dem use their money buy based on lifestyle, everything na im don kill Kobe Bryant so.”
He added that he was sending a message to people who buy what might eventually kill them.
The comments didn’t go down well with many people on social media because it was mean and insensitive.

Mr Jollof is just ignorant and unexposed. Claims Kobe and Leicester city owner both bought what killed them – their lifestyle killed them.
