Lagos discharges 13 more COVID-19 patients

Lagos State government on Thursday announced that it had discharged 13 more COVID-19 patients comprising 11 males and two females, all Nigerians from its Yaba and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) isolation facilities.

The state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, disclosed this on his Twitter handle while giving an update on the pandemic, saying that patients were four from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and nine from LUTH Isolation Centres.

According to him, they were discharged after testing negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings, saying the latest development had now brought the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos to 541.

“Today, 13 more COVID-19Lagos patients; 11 males and two females, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Yaba and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients, four from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and nine from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

“With this, the number number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 541,” the governor said.
