One 23 year-old Uchenna Mbahotu has been arrested by the men of the Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command for allegedly defiling two sisters.
The victims, aged 11 and 9 of the same parents were allegedly raped by the suspect, who was their next door neighbour at Nkwor Orji in Owerri.
The spokesman of the police in the state, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, said that the suspect was arrested based on a report by one of the victims’ relatives.
He said the complainant stated that the suspect took advantage of the fact that they allow the kids get close to him as next-door neighbours to perpetrate the evil act.
In other news, Operatives of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 28-year-old man identified as Godday Robinson for alleged rape, stealing and attempted murder of a 17 yr old girl who hitherto refused his love advances.
This was contained in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
