A Ghanaian man, Samuel Nii Quaye got missing at the age of 2 and had been living with a fetish priest ever since not knowing he wasn’t his real father.

According to Samuel, he started entertaining suspicion after his supposed mother died and in the obituary poster, he wasn’t listed among her children.

That prompted him to make inquiries from the children of the fetish priest, whom he thought were his biological siblings, only to find out their father bought him about 18 years ago.

After the revelation, Samuel embarked on a journey to look for his biological parents, a search which brought him to Atinka Media Village and subsequently shared his story on Atinka FM’s “Obi Adi Mawu” show, AtinkaOnline noted.

After Samuel narrated his ordeal on the programme, more than four families came out to report that they had lost their son around the same time he went missing.

After DNA was conducted, his gene matched the Nii Quaye family, with a paternity test result of 99.98 %.

“Immediately I saw the boy I knew that he was my son. He had a birthmark at his back which was confirmed by Atinka FM’s Pastor Martin and his team and so I was not surprised the DNA test confirmed it,” the father of the boy, Mr Emmanuel Nii Quaye said, struggling to hold back tears.

The Mother of the child, Alberta Yartey, who also couldn’t hold back tears said the discovery of his son is proof that there’s a supreme being.

Pastor Martin Semordzi, who hosts the program that helped reunite the family with their son expressed gratitude to God and implored his parents to take care of him because of the many years of suffering.

Meanwhile, Samuel’s Grandmother, Diana Collison, who was ‘wrongly’ accused of being a witch after the boy went missing says she has been vindicated.
