Nigeria records 575 new COVID-19 cases, total now 31,323

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced that the record for the COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 31,323.

575 new cases were recorded today. The centre made this known via its Twitter handle.

The new cases are listed below:

This bring the total confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria to 31,323, 12,795 patients have been discharged across the country while 709 lives have been lost to the virus.

Nigeria records 575 new COVID-19 cases, total now 31,323

Meanwhile, the Federal Government on Friday evacuated 270 stranded Nigerians in Egypt.

Nigerian government also revealed that all evacuees tested negative for COVID-19.

About 4000 Nigerians are said to have been stranded in various countries across the globe as a result of the global lockdown occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Already, about 3000 have been evacuated back home since the evacuation processed began about two months ago.

The Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 has set July ending date for the conclusion of the evacuation process of stranded Nigerians across the world who had indicated interest to be evacuated.
