Beggar kills female colleague who challenged him for peeping while she was urinating in Lagos

A female beggar has been murdered by a physically challenged beggar after she accused him of looking at her while she was urinating somewhere around Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to an eye witness who spoke in Pidgin English, the female beggar challenged the male beggar for looking at her while she was easing herself, they both into an argument and in retaliation to the accusation, the male beggar hit what the witness described as a plank on her head!

The female beggar who appeared to be unconscious or probably dead laid on the ground without moving any part of her body.

The suspect was immediately detained by people who got to the scene of the incident as he attempted to escape from the scene.

In other news, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Lagos State Police Command, have arrested one Abubakar Gahu, for using his physically challenged son to beg on the streets.

Gahu, 50, was arrested along with one Mato Abdullahi, who allegedly used his sister’s daughter, Aminat, for begging. The two suspects were part of seven persons apprehended on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, while exploiting the victims. The five others were identified as Sanni Isiaku, Abdullahi Mohammed, Nasiru Yusman, Nura Idris and Sagiru Ibrahim.

Gahu told the police that his crippled child had become a money-making machine, adding that he used the alms to sponsor the boy’s four siblings. Read more here.
