Many Nigeria celebrities and fans especially the ‘fierce’ have continued to show unwavering support for their favourite Big Brother Naija, Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon.

This is coming barely 12 hours before the Big Brother Naija (Lockdown Edition) is scheduled to come to an end later today.

Out of all the contestants who came in as housemates, there are currently five contestants left in the house and they are namely; Laycon, Nengi, Dorathy, Neo and Vee.

But it appears the ‘growing rapper’, Laycon is undoubtedly the most popular out of the five remaining housemates considering social media posts.

The story behind Lizzy Anjorin and Dayo Amusa’s viral clash

Recall that the sudden fame of Laycon can be linked to an ‘underdog’ due to the ridicule and shame he faced as many mocked his looks and dressings and being in a love triangle with a now disqualified contestant, Erica Nlewedim who was physically attracted to Kiddwaya, son of a Benue-born billionaire, Terry Waya.

Inspite of the ridicule and shame, Laycon refused to bend towards the ugly narratives rather continued to show excellent skills, talents and approached issues with intelligence which impressed many and later made him their favourite.

Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon did not allow the competition to restrict him from pursuing his music career as he sometimes engaged housemates and do freestyles for them.

Laycon had released a song titled Fierce in which he featured Reminisce and Chinko Ekun and of recent, this song has gone viral on different social media platforms.

Nigeria celebrities throwing their weights and massively supporting Laycon are Eniola Badmus, Nkechi Blessing, Samklef, Odunlade Adekola, Broda Shaggi, Anita Joseph, Toyin Lawani, Yul Edochie, Reminisce, Teni D Entertainer, Vector, Niniola, Di’Ja, DJ Nana, Ice Prince, Timi Dakolo, Joeboy, Stephanie Coker, Small Doctor, Yvonne Jegede, Seyi Edun, Woli Agba, Funmi Awelewa.

These celebrities have been canvassing votes for Laycon on social media while some celebrities like Music producer-turned-blogger, Samklef who has been particularly vocal about his support for Laycon.

Samklef appears to be more interested and supportive because he has always shown his love and support publicly for the lanky singer and even went ahead to recieve donations from many people which he in turn distributed to fans to buy airtime and vote en-masse for Laycon.

As of Friday, September 25, he had raised N910,000.

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing took a new dimension in showing support for underdog, Laycon by organising events in Ikeja and Ikorodu (Lagos State) where she gave a lot of people airtime and encouraged them to vote for Laycon.

Besides the celebrities, some youths in Ogun state stormed the streets and held a public walk in support of Laycon and urged people to vote for the University of Lagos graduate.

The public walk came after a restaurant in Lagos offered free food to people to vote for Agbeleshe. Youths and adults who see Laycon as favourite housemate have continuously shown great support for the ‘underdog’ in different ways.

Following the buzz on social media platforms, if the winner of the contest is to be determined by social media activities and offline supports, there is no iota of doubt on who the winner would be.

Despite the offline support and social media paparazzi, a lot of Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as LAYCON are still afraid and full of anxiety wondering if all what they had done to support the ‘underdog’ could make him win.

While we all await the winner of the contest in the evening, WITHIN NIGERIA wishes all housemates the best of luck.
