A senior lecturer of Taraba State University, Jalingo, Benjamin Ezekiel has been abducted by unknown gunmen on Sunday.
The lecturer was taken away by unknown gunmen who ransacked his residence at ATC near Grace Junior Academy, Jalingo.
The Police Public Relation Officer of the state, DSP David Misal confirmed this incident and told newsmen that they were aware of the kidnap.
The chairman of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Taraba State University chapter, Linus Williams also confirmed the ugly and horrible incident.
The kidnapping was also confirmed by the Chairman, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Taraba State University chapter, Linus William.
Williams said that the abductors invaded the compound with sporadic shootings targeted to scare neighbours away before he was eventually taken away to unknown location.
They (kidnappers) have not contacted us or the family to make demands, he said.
