Vandal severely burnt while trying to steal cables of transformer

It was a sad day for a 26-year-old young man identified as Ojo Ibrahim who met his waterloo, got burnt while trying to vandalise a transformer.

The sad incident occured at Araromi street in Ijebu-Jesa, the headquarter of Oriade Local Government.

Reacting to the incident, the state police command disclosed that Ojo had gone to the transformer house in the dead of the night when power supply had been cut off.

Ojo was busy removing cables before he met his waterloo. Electricity was restored and he was burnt severly.

According to an eyewitness, he was found groaning in pain by the people who live in the area when they woke up in the morning.

He has been handed over to the police and will be charged to court soon.
