At least 3 confirmed dead in Lagos helicopter crash (photos)

Tragedy struck at a busy Neighborhood in Lagos State after a Chopper crashed into a residential building at 16A Salvation Opebi Road, at Ikeja area of the State on Friday, 28th August.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered, that at least three persons were confirmed dead, 1 person seriously wounded as at the time of filing this report.

Confirming the tragic incident, The Lagos State Emergency services (LASEMA) who responded swiftly to a rescue mission announced the incident by giving updates and sharing images from the accident scene via twitter.

“The Lagos State Emergency services are on ground.

“LASEMA Response Team at Opebi Helicopter Crash, rescue ongoing,

“The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA has activated its resources to the helicopter crash at 16A Salvation Opebi Road, today, Friday, 28th August, 2020,

“Operations ongoing. Updates to be forwarded.” The emergency service tweeted.

Identity of the victims, operator and owners of the helicopter are yet to be confirmed. However, rescued victim has been taken to the hospital and the remains of victims confirmed dead have been deposited at the mortuary.
