Akinola Lawrence, a 40-year-old man has been apprehended by men of the Osun state police command, for reportedly raping a speech-impaired minor behind a mosque.
Disclosing this to newsmen, the spokesperson of the Osun state police command, Yemisi Opalola, said the incident happened at the Anglican area, Ataoja in Osogbo around 7 pm last Thursday November 5, when the mother identified as Remilekun sent the 16-year-old girl on an errand.
She said the suspect forcefully dragged the minor behind a mosque in the area to rape her.
Opalola added that investigation has commenced into the matter and that the suspect will be charged to court.
