Evicted Big Brother Naija contestants Chinwe and Zion, also known as the Zinwe duo, discussed the unexpected level of criticism they faced regarding their relationship.

In a recent interview on Beat 99.9FM, the pair expressed surprise at the intense scrutiny and opinions formed about their personal matters after leaving the show.

Chinwe noted that while they anticipated some misunderstandings, they did not expect the severity of criticism directed towards their relationship.

Zion also shared similar sentiments, emphasizing that they understand the dynamics of their relationship, but the public’s serious reaction caught them off guard.

The duo’s comments highlight the challenges of navigating public opinion and the blurring of lines between personal and public life, especially in the context of reality TV shows like Big Brother Naija.

Chinwe said:

“We came out to some shocking revelations. Based on the conversations we had, misunderstandings were part of the game. But coming out, opinions were formed as well and based off those opinions, we didn’t really expect that level of criticism towards the relationship.”

“It’s the both of us in it and we understand what happened but other people seem to be taking It a little more seriously and I’m just like, ‘You guys chill”.

“They’re so deep in it,” Zion added.

Chinwe also spoke about her pregnancy rumors, laid every speculation to rest.

Viewers and housemates alike had speculated wildly, fueled by Chinwe’s own claims of a delayed period and bouts of nausea, suggesting she might be expecting.

Facing the intense scrutiny, Chinwe decisively revealed that she did, indeed, take a pregnancy test outside the BBNaija house.

The results were unequivocal: she is not pregnant. However, she added a poignant note, sharing that she is in a place in her life where she feels prepared and capable of raising a child should she become pregnant in the future.
