A video showing the moment a University of Ibadan (UI) lecturer accosted and grabbed a female student by her arm for using a skateboard, has gone viral.
The lecturer identified as Professor Wood as captioned in the video, was heard saying that students who use skateboards are endangering their lives and that of other motorists.
While he held on firmly to the student, the lecturer demanded that she hand over the skateboard and report herself to the school’s security.
The student refused, stating that skateboarding is a sport like cycling which she is skilled in and further disclosed that she saved up money to buy the skateboard. The lecturer then said skateboarding is against the law.
The incident escalated further before the school’s security intervened. Watch the video below:
