Buzzing Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has gotten tongues wagging with amusing reactions online after a trending video clip of a man who bares a semblance with him was spotted being prayed for by Islamic clerics.
In the clip, the man said to be Asake, is seen sitting in front of an Alfa who placed his hands on his head as he recited the Quran and prayed for him. Other Islamic clerics, who were also present in the room, prayed along with the lead Muslim cleric.
The video has sparked a myriad of reactions from netizens who shared their two cent on the secular singer’s decision to receive prayers from Islamic clerics.
While some expressed surprise that the ‘Sungba’ crooner is religious, others said they didn’t know he is a Muslim.
Some others opined that Asake was seeking spiritual help because of his new competition in the music game, Seyi Vibez.
It’s no news that Seyi Vibez is currently rocking the music industry. Even though he has been making music for years, he recently received huge acceptance from Nigerian music lovers after he released two albums in quick succession. Coincidentally, Seyi Vibez and Asake’s voice and style of music are painfully similar.
