The University of Benin was thrown into chaos today as a confrontation between students and soldiers took place on campus.
According to reports, the soldiers clashed with the students after trying to withdraw money from the school ATM and allegedly ordering students to lie down.
In a video seen online, the students could be seen rushing a soldier for cutting the line and also assaulting students who resisted them.
It was gathered that the soldiers had first beaten up some male students and then proceeded to get a female student beaten for allegedly recording them.
This did not go down well with some students who retaliated and fought back, after which the soldiers absconded.
The students proceeded to barricade the roads and block movement for motorists and travelers.
