The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group spokesperson, Simon Ekpa on Tuesday, March 29 threatened to order a sit-at-home protest in Lagos State in an effort to harm the city’s economy.

In a series of tweets, the Finland based self-proclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, said Igbo traders in Lagos has been singled out and that it was time to demonstrate their value to the city’s economy.

Simon Ekpa claimed that since an attack was sponsored on Igbos in Lagos state, nothing was said about it, but ever since he hinted at a sit-at-home, there has been a buzz about his declaration online.

In his divisive fashion, he wrote:

“They will know the importance of Ndigbo in Lagos very soon. I have noticed they are panicking. After this episode, the Lagos state thuggery government who sponsors the killing and burning of Igbo market in Lagos will know that Ndigbo controls its economy and they need not to bite the finger that feed their state treasury.

When the Lagos state sponsored thugs and criminals to kill and burn igbo markets in Lagos, nobody condemned it.

But since yesterday after hinting on Igbo sit at home in Lagos, internet and social media is on fire, and the people posting negative about the Igbos sit at home in lagos never uttered a word to condemn the killing and destruction of Igbo properties and burning of Igbo markets in Lagos.

We will show you the power of the Igbos in Lagos without firing a bullet.

Those asking me why do i defend Ndigbo in Lagos?

My response is that i was born to do this and to liberate Biafra from the mistake of Azikiwe and co. My love for the Ndilgbo and Biafra people is without condition.

I will defend all Igbos in Lagos and any part of Nigeria, even those who placed bounty on me, this is because they don’t know what they were doing.

Finally, i must say that we now have capacity to defend Ndigbo and their market to preserve and save the means of their livelihood before Biafra Exit.

We understand that the plan of the enemy is to destroy the economy of Ndigbo and further enslave them in one Nigeria. It is called economic Jihad against Igbos, they believe that Igbo business will later fund Biafra Liberation. This is inevitable!

They will all watch how we will cripple Lagos state economy, forget their ranting. They know the impact of what is coming, they never expected it but we will continue to take them unaware. You can’t continue to kill our people and burn their businesses in Lagos and expect us not to react. Is like flogging a child and telling him not to cry. I am not moved by their utterances on social media. They should know by now that whenever we decide to do something, there is no going back.

“Those who think there is no solution to the attack against Ndigbo in Lagos will be shocked to see the magic the Igbo sit at home in Lagos will do. -ESN.”
