  • @authentic_traveling samples a range of local dishes, including pepper chicken feet, gala, and more.

  • The highlight of his journey is a delectable combination of rice, spaghetti, beans, and stew.

An Oyinbo man, identified as @authentic_traveling on TikTok, has taken to social media to share his experience of exploring Oshodi and indulging in street food.
Despite being warned that he wouldn’t survive a day, he fearlessly embarked on a culinary adventure that left him thoroughly impressed.
In his words;
 “Visiting Oshodi to try street food,”
The adventure began with a classic combination of bread and butter, as he explained that Nigerians have a penchant for white bread, often pairing it with various ingredients to create unique flavors.
@authentic_traveling didn’t shy away from trying something more exotic, as he sampled pepper chicken feet, acknowledging their chewy texture and the fiery kick that accompanies them.
To maintain his energy levels, he opted for fearless, his favorite Nigerian energy drink, and paired it with a popular snack called gala, a packaged pastry filled with beef.
He pointed out that while gala can be somewhat dry, it becomes immensely satisfying when consumed with pure water, an affordable and refreshing option available in convenient water sachets.
@authentic_traveling also interacted with the local “area boys,” notorious for sometimes soliciting money from passersby, by sharing a few naira with them.
The climax of his culinary exploration in Oshodi was a mouthwatering combination of rice, spaghetti, beans, and stew.
He enthusiastically proclaimed the stew to be the highlight of his journey, leaving him with an unforgettable taste of Nigerian street food.
