  • A Nigerian lady refuses to repay her loan after a loan company declared her obituary and informed her contacts about her “death.”
  • The lady had defaulted on her loan and claimed she couldn’t pay since the loan company had already declared her dead.
  • A viral video captures the heated phone conversation between the lady and the loan app agent who denies any knowledge of the obituary.

A young Nigerian lady has resorted to an extraordinary excuse to evade repaying her debts after a loan app declared her obituary and informed her contacts about her untimely demise.

The peculiar incident, which has since gone viral on social media, captured a heated phone conversation between the angry borrower and the loan app agent who was keen on collecting the outstanding debt.

The lady, whose identity remains undisclosed, had defaulted on her loan payments, and her reaction to her alleged “death” has left the internet buzzing.

In the video that has been shared social media, the young lady vehemently protested against the loan company, asserting that she couldn’t possibly repay her loan as she had been declared dead by the loan shark’s unusual declaration of her obituary.

“You guys posted my obituary, called all my contacts and still expected me to pay? I don die, I no fit pay money and you’ve already posted the my obituary,” she said during the conversation.

The loan app agent on the other end of the call seemed flabbergasted by the accusation, claiming that he had no knowledge of any such development and encouraged her to fulfill her financial obligation.

Netizens Reactions…

nnaezema stated: “You borrowed money and refused to pay and you’re shamelessly making video about it 🤦.”

sami_oamen added: “The money in question might not even be more than 5k, why did they publish her Obituary and why did she also not pay.”

kaurday said: “This is why Nigerians often can’t get basic things they could easily buy and pay for bit by bit. It seems like everyone in Nigeria, whether rich or poor, wants to take a loan and never pay it back – that’s the problem.”

Homiebishop added: “This is very bad this is someone else business, if you are not going to pay up why loan from them. Pay them up or face those werey embarrassment.”
