  • On February 9, Faleye Olushola, an aide to Herbert Wigwe, escaped a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Wigwe, his family, and a few others near the Nevada-California border while heading to Las Vegas.
  • Olushola, listed on the manifest, refused to fly on the chopper due to poor weather conditions, opting for a road trip instead.

Herbert Wigwe’s aide, Faleye Olushola, narrowly escaped tragedy on the night of February 9, surviving a helicopter crash that claimed the lives of his boss, Wigwe, along with Wigwe’s wife, son, and others.

The crash occurred as they were en route to Las Vegas, near the border of Nevada and California.

Olushola, listed on the manifest, chose not to board the flight, opting instead for a road trip due to unfavourable weather conditions for night helicopter travel.

According to reports from ThisDay, Olushola had flown with Wigwe, his family, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo from London to Palm Springs, California.
